Amenaties at work

Okay, so I work full time and I can't lose my job. However I struggle with concentrating and memory. I forget to do things often and very suddenly. I can tellt his really annoys my co-worker who does not know about my bipolar. This co-worker is above me in importance, not a boss but sort of a supervisor. I don't really want her to know about my bipolar, but I also don't want her to go stomping off to my actual boss complaining. My actual boss is a very awesome person but she doesn't know much about bipolar. Since technically this is a new diagnosis, I have no amenities set in place.

What is the best place to start? I'm guessing my doctor and then HR and my boss? I work for a health care company and they seem to be reasonable people. I'm guessing that I wouldn't need to fight them to get amenaties as long as I am prepaired to show proof and logic.

Okay, thanks. I'm not worried about talking to my boss. She's a very great boss, the best I ever had.

Speak to your supervisor about any reasonable accomodations you might need but be prepared to explain it to them in detail and you need only disclose to your supervisor and they must by law keep it in confidence.
