My daughter is 3 years old and completely out of control. I don't know what to do anymore and I need advice.
She was completely normal until a couple weeks ago. She didn't really have many tantrums before but once in a great while she would have a brief episode of a tantrum. Lately however, it seems like a constant tantrum in our home. It seems as if they last forever.
She will be perfectly content and cheerful playing with me or our housemate and then all of the sudden, its like all hell breaks loose and she goes crazy! i haven't been able to notice anything that could provoke it but i'm always trying to observe.
When she has her tantrums, she will cry sooooo hard that it literally wakes up our neighbors. she shakes and her mouth appears to start foaming from crying so much. she screams ridiculous demands and tells me she hates me and we're all going to die. i don't know where she even got this vocabulary from! she will continually hit and kick me if i pick her up but when i set her down she screams at the top of her lungs "hold me! just hold me! pick me up! now! just hold me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
could she be bipolar? thats how it seems. i'm so concerned. i know she needs to go to a doctor to get evaluated, we have an appointment but its a week away.
is there something i can do to try to help her calm down until then!?
i don't know what to do anymore. i don't know how to calm her down. i've lost control. can anyone please help me!?
