On Social Security and not receiving medical care

How to live on $1000/mth. and get medical care?  I live in Georgia, am 50 this year, and have lived with BP for many years.  I'm covered by Medicare original, and gave up seeing doctors due to expense, and lack of psychiatrists accepting Medicare.  Hoped to survive without prescription drugs.  My world has grown very small (really dependent on one other person).  Any suggestions appreciated....

If you're near Atlanta, GA, Good Samaritan Health Center is something to consider. http://www.goodsamatlanta.org/

Here's a website for finding a psychiatrist in Georgia:

You could call around and see who takes Medicare.

In addition, many prescription drugs are available for $4/month at Kroger, Target, and Wal-mart.

There is supplemental coverage for Medicare and in almost all states there is the Medicaid Buy In for Working People with Disabilities where you can be covered and work just one hour on the books a month. Medicaid will then supplement your medical care. And as I live in New York state there are other options I am perhaps not aware of here. Speak to your local independent living center. They advocate for people with disabilities and benefits issues are one area of knowledge. This is a list of the ones in Georgia.
