Possible to have memory loss w/meds?

i'm on a regiment of lithium, cymbalta, seroquel and lamagotrine.  my meds and dose has been the same over the last year.over the last six months i've been havinf memory issues - forgetting where i am, forgetting names, if my wife says get the vacuum i bring a broom, i can't think of words, etc.

doc has been doing lots of test to rule out physical issues.  blood work and mri are fine.  now finished some cognitive and emotional testing.  one thought is early alzheimers but another is drug and stress related.

i'm wondering if anyone has experienced or heard of such issues with medication.

I know Topomax can cause the issues you are describing but I don't know about the rest. I have no proof but I would swear my memory is worse since taking these medications. I am on Lamotrigine, Zeldox, and trazodone. I was fine on just the lamotrigine so I blame the Zeldox. Nonetheless I am willing to trade a few memory issues for a normal life.

I experience some form of memory loss on antipsychotics but the medicine that really caused me to have that level of memory loss and confusion like you describe was Cogentin which can cause Alzheimer's-like side effects, although Cogentin isn't a psych med, it's a side effect pill.  I don't know if psych meds can cause memory loss to that extent or not but I would bet it's possible although I would get other causes ruled out like you're doing.
