Sleep has a MAJOR affect on mood. I would be down right cranky on 2 hours sleep.
It's important to set up what's called sleep hygeine. as well as self care.
Have your meds changed recently or do you need to review them? I just switched over to Seroquel XR, and it's not doing much compared to split up doses, which I was actually a bit calmer in the day.
Avoid stimulants, 1 cup of coffee is more then enough. (chocolate is a stimulant) If you are the computer alot, shut it down at a set time if you can. Being on the computer is really stimulating. (I'm still up from bad knee pain grr) or any gaming module.
Don't eat within 2 hours of bed, and avoid carbs like pasta and bread. The carbs will give you too much energy.
Don't obsess about sleep either, it makes it worse.
Just a few tidbits to think about.
