Okay, I just have to ask this because it is bothering me and maybe some of you might know or have experienced this.
I work on the 2nd floor of the building and I always take the stairs. Today when I got to work I was going up the stairs and I noticed a pair of lady's black gloves had been dropped. They were rolled together like socks, and the cuffs of the gloves were this sort of grayish brown fuzzy stuff.
I thought, "I should pick those up and put them at the reception desk for lost and found."
But, before I could bend down to pick them up I was looking at the fuzzy brown cuffs and they reminded me of porcupines. Suddenly I was afraid of the gloves and unable to pick them up because they were too much like porcupines and I didn't want to touch them or be near them. I mean, it really freaked me out. So I just left them there. A few minutes later I was walking past reception and the gloves were sitting on the counter. My co-worker asked me if they were my gloves, and I said no, but thinking inside "I would never have those porcupine gloves!"
Now, I keep thinking about my reaction and it bothers me. I know they are gloves, not porcupines, so I shouldn't have reacted that way. I don't understand why I reacted to them like that. Anyone have anything similar happen? Am I just a weird person? I don't know.
