birth control

Hi ladies, I know we're all pregnant and all, but yesterday at my check up my doctor said I should start thinking about what kind of birth control I want after my baby girl is here. I've never been on birth control (and still did very well, baby was planned) what do you ladies suggest worked best for you? I don't want to worry about another baby for a long while at least a few years. And that implant that goes in your arm scares me.

Savannah you aren't supposed to take the nova ring out during sex. If it was painful it probably wasn't inserted correctly :)

After my daughter I got on the shot. I did amazing with it the first time. I ended up getting off it because something went wrong with my insurance so I had to take pills. I took ortho trip cyclen for two years. Then I got back on the shot and gained 60 lbs in 6 months! It increased my appetite so much and I always felt hungry. I didn't have any periods though. Then I tries the nuvaring and it was annoying taking it out for sex. It hurt with it in during sex. Then I got the copper IUD and had a severe allergic reaction to the copper. It was horrible. Now I'm back on the pill and will stick to it till I get these 60 damn pounds off.

I got pregnant on the mini-pill at Christmas. So no idea what I'm going to do yet. I can't take oestrogen. And don't think I want to take anything for a while as I plan on bf when baby comes. Might just use condoms for a while

Why in the world would they force you! That is invasion of your body! Especially if it goes against your beliefs! If fight that one, if it were me... but maybe the implant iud ones that go inside? Or maybe the patch one, just put on one patch for their benefit and call it good?

I used the patch and it worked very well my periods were light and didn't last long. Probably going to end up going back to it. I did the shot and after awhile I ended up having a nonstop cycle
