Depo - When will I get my menstrual cycle back? When will my hair grow back?

I'm almost 23. I decided to go on the depo shot and was only on it for 6 months. After the second shot, I started losing my hair in significant amounts and that's when I decided to get off the shot. I'm afraid to even wash my hair because I don't want to feel the hair running down my back in the shower. There's times I avoid brushing it because it's gotten so thin and yet it still keeps falling out. My doctor was no help. It said that perhaps it could be the shot and that was the end of it. When will it stop falling out and when will it grow back? What can I do to help it grow?

Also, I'm planning to get pregnant. Will it take me a while to start ovulating even after only two shots?

Sorry I also wanted to add that it can take around another year after the return of your menstrual for your body and hormone levels to return to normal for 100% chance of conception.

Hi, I only had one depo shot, so I didn't experience the hair loss, but my menstrual cycle did finally return a year later.
