NuvaRing questions?

I'm VERY prone to nausea and vomiting from hormonal birth controls, no matter how long I take them. I want to try the ring because no pills have worked for me.  Also, I've been getting multiple 5-7 day periods a month and I need something that will regulate me.

Another thing is that I'm prone to infection from birth control as well (I had the Mirena IUD for 9 months and got a bacterial and yeast infection from it, as well as severe acne). Can the ring cause infection?

Any opinions, experiences and advice is GREALY appreciated. THANKS.
