My period has been on for almost 2 weeks now. Should I be concerned?

I started the depo shot around June of 2011 and got my last shot in March of 2014. I did not get a period until around August of that year and it was very heavy and lasted almost a month. My doctor put me on the pill "to regulate my system" is what I was told. I stopped the pill in December and my periods have been every other month but this month it is very heavy and full of clots. I have been bleeding for almost 2 weeks now. I know it can take a while for your system to get back to normal after birth control but this is a little crazy. Should I be concerned? Any advice is welcome and appreciated.
