Possibly Pregnant Off Depo?

I have been on the depo shot since 06/2010 and my last shot was due by 12/7/11 but i didnt get it because of all the side effects. I kept thinking i was pregnant, and now Im doing it again. But now I wonder, is what Im feeling after effects of the shot? I never had a period during the shots and still havent got one, and im sure its too soon for those.. Me and my boyfriend still are having unprotected sex ( I was told by my Dr that it would take the depo 6-18 mths for the shot to wear out of my system.) My breast are sore so i have to wear a bra all the time, the blue vains are darke than normal, and im seeing some small purple spider veins on the side of my breasts, outside of the areola? Ive felt nausous a few days this week but have not vomited, (its like when you burp and you can taste the acid in your stomach) aweful gas, Ive lost 4 lbs this week but it seems like my belly is getting bigger, Ive lost my appitite this past week or so, but somedays i cant eat enough, Ive been going "#2" more often as well. not really peeing anymore than usual, and going from hot to cold, my lower abdomen seems harder near my hips as well... are these side effects of going off the shot or am i pregnant?

My suggestion would be to find something else to prevent pregnancy. I've had almost all the side effects... mood swings, weight gain... all of it.. the only thing I haven't had is a period. It really messes your body up bad. Well it did mine. I still haven't had a period, but I'm getting all these symptoms of being pregnant.. .some say its possible, some say its not especially after only a few weeks.. and its stress full... my boobs hurt now and they haven't been while on the shot.. my stomach has gotten bigger and I haven't changed my diet or what I do physically... I get aggravated easily.. just so stressful.. I wish I never even got the shot... period...

Hello 98nightrider!
My name is Bambi. I'm currently on the Depo Shot. I have been since I had my son. I got my first shot on September 22, 2011 and then got my second shot on December 11, 2011. I'm considering switching it. I was wanting to know all the side effects that you have gotten and range them on a scale from 1 - 10 if you don't mind. Also, while on the Depo shot, did you have mood swings? For example, really bad anger problems?
I hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks,
-Bambi!

What really ***** is there isn't away to tell if I am pregnant... the test come back negative, and I haven't had a period... with my last son it took 3 months to get a positive test... I don't have ins so I can't just go to a dr and ask for an ultra soundand if I go to the heatlh dept they just give me a preg test, which does nothing but waste my time and theirs... so I don't know what to do...

It is possible that you may be pregnant or simply be having side effects of being off of your birth control. The thing that makes it difficult to tell is the fact that it can take up to 6 months before having a regular period after being off of the depo shot.

Its so aggravating!! I like not having periods too, but I mean after so long on the shot, I almost felt abnormal not having one.. at this point Id love to have one!! Just so I know my body is still working right and the shot hasnt completely messed me up.. If I would have known it was gonna be like this I would have never got it in the first place..
