Pregnant with IUD in

In 2006 I had an IUD(10yr) put in after the birth of my 4th child. I have now been pregnant twice and both times miscarried at about 7 weeks. they were about 9 months apart. and I am now worried about becoming pregnant again.
I hear that an IUD is one of the most effective forms of birth control. but it does not seem to be working very well for me. I don't know if i should have it taken out and try something else or not. after each miscarriage I has a US and it showed that it was still in place so I don't know what is going on. has anyone else had this happen.

both times they did an ultrasound to check if it was in place and it showed that it was.

If you are getting pregnant on the IUD it is not for you, they should remove it. Try something else. Have they done an ultrasound to check placement?
