Low Platlets??

I've just had my blood tested as ive felt unwell.

I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism but are concerned my platlet levels are quite low.

I had a severe bleeding after a wisdom tooth extraction last year and after a miscarriage a few years ago. To which I haemorraged.

The doc hasn't mentioned it ... but I'm concerned as its 152,000 ( normal range is 150,000 -400,000) mine just seems on the low side... is that normal or should I be asking for further tests? What is classed as low?

Hi!
Well, your platelets are not low. A level of 150,000 or above is normal and will not cause bleeding. You could be having bleeding disorders. So tests like bleeding time, clotting time, and Vit K level should be done. Usually platelet count below 100,000 are considered low. Take care!
