Do I have a brain tumor?

I am an athletic 15 year old male. I have been experiencing not that painful jabbing pains that last for 2-3 seconds on the left side of my head. I get this 10 -20 times about day for about 1or 2 days, then i wont have it for 3 weeks or or 4, but then i get them again. Also i have been getting deja vu once or twice a week. Also i have notcied that my left eye is slightly sticking out compared to my other eye. Also i have had some short term memory problems like i forget what is just recently did, but then 10 seconds later i remember it. My mom had a cyst on her neck. I have checked on the internet and i have some symptoms like the temporal lobe brain tumor. I am wondering if i have a a brain tumor. I am very very scared. could please tell me if i should be worried or not. Could you please gve me some feedback and some previous experiences. Thankyou.

Hi!

i'm going to have to agree with rumpled, you need to go in an see a Doctor. In the mean time, try not to dwell too much on your symptoms. I know that sounds difficult, but you might be becoming more anxious by researching possible problems with out having a diagnosis. The thing is that many of the symptoms you are exhibiting can be from an array of different things, (most of which are not that serious) and that is why it is important not to freak your self out and instead go and get checked out.

It is easy to scare your self when you can research scary medical problems on the internet, but that it also a way to cause anxiety for no reason. Chances are more likely then not that it is something common, and easily resolvable.... before freaking out you need to have a Dr. rule out all the other common things first... As they say, don't assume it's a zebra, until you've ruled out that it is not a horse.

If you see a Dr. and he is unable to find out what it wrong then you should continue to pursue an answer. First thing is first, relax cause freaking out wont make you feel any better, and ...... go see your Doc! :)

Take care and good luck on exams!

Hi i have just noticed that, i am getting thigh fasciculations, where my thigh twitches involuntarily, i just started to feel this about 2 days ago. This usually happens when i am sitting down and reflexing it doesn't happen when i am waking. I only happens on the bottom of my left thigh. What do u think this could be ALS, or brain tumor?

You are 15. Exams are stressful. If you do, like anyone else, think over and over on something, then you are going to worry. The fact that when you are enjoying yourself and that you can enjoy yourself shows that not all is bad.
No one can diagnose over the internet. I am sure your school has a guidance counselor or a nurse - can you talk to them about how you are feeling if you cannot talk to your parents?

Hi, Thankyou for soooo much for  helping me.  I checked my blood pressure again and it was a mistake, i actually have a blood pressure of 122. i usually have school really early in the morning and i sleep late,  I will try to get in the habit of getting about 8- 8:30 hours of sleep. Also i have noticed that i have been feeling woozy lately( i cant concentrate, hard for me to register things, and i am fidgety) i think this is because of stress because it is exam time and i am always thinking about the symptoms i am getting which escalates the symptoms. Usually when i am distracted like playing sports and generally enjoying my self, these symptoms diminish. What do think this could be and how can i get better, or is this something to fear? Thanks

Blood pressure can be a symptom or a cause.
Stress can be the same way.
Sleep is very important for the body to regenerate bone and muscle. The disease I had prevents sleep and thus is dustructive to bone and muscle. While you are young, you can recover better, it is still not a good idea.Is it that you cannot sleep though or will not?

It will take you really thinking and being an advocate for yourself to adopt a healthy life style, or if it is not your lifestyle and it is your body on its own that is crazy, then you must pursue answers. It is not easy if you have a crazy body - I cannot tell you how many times I was called a liar.

thanks, i have noticed that my blood pressure is 159. Does that have to do with anythings. Also i am pretty stressed and worried, and don't get enough sleep usually, does this contribute to anything? Thanks.

You should see a doctor. There is no way to diagnose on the internet. BTW, eyes sticking out, memory lapses, etc, are thyroid symptoms too. Please see your doctor ASAP for an evaluation.
