Pituitary tumor & Vanderbilt

I had an endocrinologist decide that he was referring me back to my GP with the recommendation that I see a "super specialist" at Vanderbilt or Duke.  My insurance now covers Vanderbilt, but doesn't cover Duke.  Anybody know a neuroendocrinologist at Vanderbilt that they can recommend?

I've been to vanderbilt (The Pituitary Clinic) It was not a good experience for me. I'm from NC and flew there basically to see my dad who has cancer 2 weeks ago. Before going i made an app. with an end. at Raleigh Duke Hospital.(We had moved from Ky to NC in 03 it being where my family is and my first tumor was found there.) 06 we moved back to ky. The first tumor was a lactating one. If not for the most painful mamogram i've ever had we would not know it was there. The duke dr. said i needed an mri to check for a pit. tumor right off the bat. 6 months later they could not see the tumor.
Its been a little over a week since i saw the end. at Duke and he was able to determine that the tumors are lactating.  I will be hearing from him hopefully the early part of next week. We have to call and see if our Ins. will cover going back for treatment Monday, regardless my hubby said we will pay for it ourselves if thats what it takes to get the Right Help.  The symptoms i have regardless whats causing them have me
housebound, except one med.a doctor gives me that can get me where i need to go when i have to.
I do believe Duke or the Mayo Clinic from all i've researched are the best options, unless someone knows differently. pituitary.org also lists places they reccommend in thier laymans book.
I do know who not to see at Vanderbuilt. She made me feel like an idiot for being there, I had to read her my MRI's, i gave them to her and she pushed them back to me telling me to tell her what they say!. Geez... its not our place to do their job. If i can help you by my experience at vanderbuilt and what i find out about Duke, i'll be more than happy to. i'm just learning the forum and i'll see how to get ahold of you.
Rumpled i'm going to take your advice also. What do people who just happen to be out of state and their insurance providers teritory who need immediate medical attention do!???

Check with your insurance and see if they will cover you with a doctor's note in the case that you need someone with special experience that no one in network can provide. If you can make that case, you can go to the doctor you want - but it takes fight and paperwork.

I also PM'd you names in TN.
