MRI results for 11 yr. old

My daughter developed epilepsy at age 5.  CAT scan normal, 2 abnormal EEG's, MRI-normal- tests done in 2004.
Epilepsy has been in remission and is seizure-meds free.   She now has learning disabilities/ADHD.
I suggested another MRI in February of this year.
She had 2 abnormal MRI's within 4 months. (April and August)   PLEASE tell me if this is something to be concerned about.  April's MRI showed a white spot on the globus pallidus. Her neurologist said that this was very unexpected since her 2004 MRI came back normal.   (Maybe the spot was there?  It was a different machine and contrast was used.)    August's MRI showed same spot.  They said it was a "signal area of abnormality."  It's labeled suscipious, but stable.  It is 10mmx7mmx9mm.  Is this a tumor??  We are going for a 2nd opinion on Friday.  The radiologist said to my husband that this is what they normally call a low grade glioma, however, it wasn't stated on the MRI and the doctor didn't say it was.  Biopsy and surgery are out due to its location.  So......now what?   ANY SUGGESTIONS, advice, response would be truly appreciated.
Thank you!!!

Just so you know, you are posting on the layman board, not the expert board. There is another board that is monitored by doctors.

As a parent, you are entitled to more information, good or bad. I am not saying this is bad, just that you need information, which is why you are posting here. I find it sad that the first doctors withheld information from you.

By reading the MRIs and CTs, they can determine for the most part, what type of lesion they are dealing with. For some reason, the first radiologist did not put it in his report but the second opinion gave you his opinion.

The biopsy is the best idea to get the final and of course most accurate information. I hope surgery resolves the tumor.
