Well, I know from experience that a person can have more than one disease. MS is an auto-immune disorder which means that you are prone to other auto-immune disorders.
I have lost count of mine.
It sometimes comes up that they think oh, you have ONE thing so you cannot have something else, so they just stop. I had that and like you, they started to attribute symptoms that did not fit to a disease I already had, like you. Turns out, I had both, but the other one was more serious.
I had to be persistent. Do you have another doctor that you can appeal to so that you can ask for a full evaluation - and a referral for a second opinion?
Doctor says it is MS. I have often seen one disease to be confused with other.
I have most of the symptoms associated with MS. In spite of that, is there a possibility of say tumour:
My classical symptoms:
1. tired
2. headache
3. bodyache
4. decreased cognition
5. blurred vision
6. stiff body
7. hot weather makes me irritable and a bit sick
8. I put weight very easily
Some classical MS symptoms I dont have:
1. difficulty walking
2. bladder control
Do you get any scans as part of your MS check up - that would pick up a tumor.
As well, why not go to an eye doctor and get an good exam - eye doctors can actually pick up signs of brain tumors in their exams. But if you are having changes, it would be good to go and see why - and you may need to see a neuro-opthomologist as well (they may not do eyeglasses, so you may have to see both kinds).
What does your neuro say about your body aches and headaches - could that not be from the MS?
