Just wanted to update.  I went for biopsy appt today, and much to my surprise, they could not located anything abnormal.  They could not find the spot that was on mamogram.   They did  a repeat mamogram, and found nothing.  End result nothing to biopsy.  I was wondering does this happen often?  Moral of this story, i was freaking out for nothing.  I hope others facing this same thing, have the same result.  Thanks for being there.....Jan

Freaking out with the possibility of having cancer is actually normal. Hopefully the results come back okay, if they don't it is probably early stage.
Good luck and I will say a pray for you.

You can't compare anyone else's experience with yours ... each person, finding or problem is different. It isn't necessary to "feel" a lump when something is found within the breast tissue by imagery nor does the breast need to look "different". You need to stop "freaking out" about this and proceed with the recommended biopsy as that is the only way you will know what this finding represents. It could be one of many things and cancer would be only one slight possibility. Many biopsies for "spots" or calcifications do return a negative (benign) result.  Hang in there .....

I didn't feel a lump or anything.  The breast looks normal....This freaking me out.  I have elderly parents, am an only child and work full time.  If anyone has had this happen to them, I would like to know how it turned out for you.  Thanks

It is not unusual for the two types of imagery to show different things. Both Mammogram and Ultrasound may often "see" different things as well as "seeing" them differently. This may or may not be of some concern and only the biopsy can answer that question with 100% certainty. Best luck with the procedure.   Regards ....
