Breast specialist found another mass

Results from the core needle biopsy finally came in.  It was determined to be a complex fibroadenoma.  The doctor also noted dystrophic calcification.  The doctor scheduled a follow up mammo and ultrasound in 3 months.  I know the mass is determined to be benign but I'm still concerned.

You're right I should relax and be thankful that the doctor is vigilant and the result was benign.  I guess I just needed some reassurance.  Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks for the "hint" you took the time to post without any mention of the information I submitted.  Any unintentional post to the incorrect thread is minor in comparison to the topic at hand.  I am simply looking for some peace in this confusing time.  Thanks for any help or suggestions you have offered.

Hi,

Just a hint: We prefer that people keep their related posts in one thread, so that: 1) all of their information will be available in one place, which helps us to provide better answers; 2) we will be able to see the answers that have already been given, so we do not to duplicate our efforts; and 3) so that readers interested in a particular thread will know when additional developments have been  discussed.

Thanks!

I think it's always wise to remain somewhat concerned; to me that means that you will not hesitate to stick to the recommended follow-ups and also be alert for any new changes. Evidently you have an excellent care provider who will let nothing go unnoticed. Congratulations on the "benign" result of your biopsy.   Regards ....
