Burning sensation

Burning sensation in right breast. Is this a concern? Past menpause

Yes. Burning, itching, and pulling sensations are the ones to watch out for. Likely you have nothing to be worried about, but it's any new changes is something to have your doctor look at and it's much better to be safe than sorry.

Hi,
Pain in the breast is not uncommon.It can be persistent or intermittent and could be due to many causes,like an infection, hormonal imbalance, Costochondritis,which is an arthritis pain that is experienced by older women.The pain could be also caused by medication such as the ones used for treatment of menopausal symptoms (hormone replacement therapy).Acid reflux symptoms,could also cause a burning sensation in the breast.
Many women actually find relief, when it comes to breast pain, when they cut back on how much caffeine they consume (chocolate,coffee colas).
Although breast pain is rarely associated with breast cancer,I feel that a clinical breast exam,preferably by a breast specialist, will be the best thing to do.
