Classification of a general breast mass

I am a 29yr old female that has a "mass" and a cyst in her breast. During the ultrasound,  I had a coal black oval tiny spot at 9 o'clock (i think that was the cyst), then there was this 2.5 cm dark gray area at 11 o'clock with a spot of whiteish gray inside of it. In order to determine what the 'mass' is they need my previous mammography films which could take up to 2 weeks to get take to the radiologist and finally get a definite answer.  Could you please let me know what classifies as a mass (if possible the color of the ultrasound, whitish gray spot inside of a dark gray area)? My mom had bilateral matectomy before she was 40 and waiting for the results is becoming very scary.

Well the mass is seen as "highly suspicous of carcinoma" and "compatible with carcinoma"  I am hoping for a false positive, but either way the sucker is being cut out.

Yes i agree, thank you for that.
I will know Tuesday what they plan to do since it is a mass and cancer is so steady in my family history. I found it that it was not on my past reports so this is somethign that has sprung since my least check 3 years ago. From what i understand is 2.5 cm so its a decent size mass.

Any finding that is tissue not ordinarily found within the breast and appears different that normal breast tissue is considered a mass. The color on the film is only significant to the Radiologist who is reading the film. The films and their appearance would mean nothing to the ordinary individual.  Regards ....
