A hormone receptor positive status implies a good prognosis and also that hormone therapy can be used and would give good results in all such cases of cancer.
Your oncologist would be able to explain this to you in detail.

All tests have values that are stated .. and the percentages do mean something on the grand scale but it still comes down to positive is positive.
That's what my friend's surgeon told her but I wonder, then, why they even give you a percentage if it does not really mean anything?
I was told by the Pathology Director that positive is positive. The ER/PR+ tumors represent a less aggressive type of cancer as they are hormone dependant.
