IBC or something else

Hello.  For the last 2 year at least my right breast has been reddish--it actually looksl ike a bunch of broken blood vessels--I jad it looked at baout 2 years ago and doc said didn't think it was anything, just something with the skin.  I have been worrying about it on and off for the last year.  Finally got up the courage to go back to the doctor--saw the nurse pract--she gave me a breast exam said that she didn't feel any lumps.  I brought up IBC and she said skin would be warm--mine is cold--actually alot colder than the other.  I also have an area just at the top of  my areola that I think is orange peel skin-she said if it was orange peel then it owuld have spread all over my breast by now.  No sweeling, but it does seem fuller than the other breast but it has alwasy been a little bigger.  I am having a diagnoistic mammo in a week but I am scared too death this is IBC or some other form of breast cancer.  What else could casue this?  She said she thought it might be something vascular due to the coldness--what could casue coldness and red skin that looks like tiny blood vessels?

This discussion is related to Orange Peel skin.

This certainly sounds like a vascular problem and I doubt very seriously IBC .. mainly since this has been going on for such a long time. If your Mammogram shows nothing I would advise you to either see a Dermatologist or a Vascular Specialist.  Regards .....
