Hi again,
Could very well be that it's a small lipoma.People are often unaware of lipomas until they have grown large enough to become visible and palpable.
But as I suggested in my previous comment,if you have any doubts, ask your doctor to order an ultrasound so you can have peace of mind.
Take care now...
I just looked up lipoma and it seems that they are usually lumps that are noticeable coming up from the skin, the lump i have is in the armpit but you cant see it, only when you feel it you notice it, is that still a lipoma??
thank you for that, Dr didnt really explain very well and I didnt like to have to go back :)
Hi,
Lipoma is a harmless fatty growth and it's not understood what causes it.It is suspected that there could be a genetic link to their occurrence. They are found most often on the torso, neck, upper thighs, upper arms, and armpits, but they can occur almost anywhere in the body.
Generally, lipomas do not require any treatment, since they are not cancerous. There is no treatment known except surgical removal if the fatty tissue is growing too large or is bothersome and painful.
If you have any doubts at all concerning this growth, you could ask your doctor to order an Ultrasound just to make sure okay?.
Best wishes...
