Need Help!

Hi,
I had my Mammo done today, and also a ultra sound because there was a lump in my armpit they couldn't see in the mammo. The tecs felt the lump but couldn't see anything. They said the radiologist would go over it. My question is, if they couldn't see anything does this mean there isn't anything to worry about?

Hi, I have an enlarged lymp node under my armpit and back in August they did an ultrasound to see it; however, they couldn't locate it on ultrasound. It was definitely papalable  (sp?); in fact, there is an indent in my skin that is obvious from the lump. Why would the ultrasound not be able to pick it up?

If it is a lymmphnode it could be cause from several different things. You said it couldn't be seen on Mammogram which isn't unusual but I would think the US would have shown something. The Radiologist will of course review the films and dictate a final report which will be sent to your Physician. You should be able to get the details from his/her office but this usually takes a few days.  Regards
