Studies of outcomes without Arimidex or Tamoxifen

What do the studies show happens to women who are caught early, have breasts removed, no lymph involvement and who do NOT take Arimidex or tamoxifen?

I was caught early, but with a ER+/PR+, Her2 positive tumor, (no lymph node involvement) I opted to have both breasts removed, TCH chemo, Herceptin for a year, and Tamoxifen.
I have 2-3 hot flashes each day, usually in the evening and no other discernable side effects.

Some people have much more side effects and some have far less.  A patient could always try tamoxifen or Arimidex and see how it goes before ruling it out.

I'm not sure but your Oncologist would have the results of any studies that have been done on these particular circumstances. I do know that many women choose not to take these drugs even though their cancer is ER/PR positive.  Regards ....
