breast cyst
i have been asked to attend clinic for MRI my notes say the cyst is2cm and scored U2 wot does this mean

U2, in the United Kingdom is equivalent to BIRADS 2 in the United States .
BI-RADS is a quality control system,used by radiologists after interpreting mammograms,ultrasound and MRIs.
This system allows radiologist to categorize the findings by numbers.The scores go from 0 to 5.The higher the number the more suspicious is the abnormality
Your BIRADS (U2) is category 2,meaning Benign ( no evidence of malignancy).
Breasts are same size and shape and tissue looks normal. Any cysts, fibroadenomas, or other masses appear benign.
Please ask your doctor when a follow up will be needed in your case.
