calcifications with grouped distribution

I had a mammogram a couple of weeks ago and am having to go back in for an ultrasound on my left breast.  The report reads there are calcifications with grouped distribution in the left breast inner hemisphere at 9 to 10 o'clock located 6 centimeters from the nipple.  As I am reading information in the internet (which I know I shouldn't be doing) I am trying to determine if this is normally maligant or benign?  Also, I have an obscured mass measuring 2 centimeters in the left breast upper hemisphere at 12 o'clock located 5 centimeters from the nipple.

Hi,
The appearance of clustered calcification on x-ray, gives clues to the radiologist but not definite answers,so it is standard procedure in most cases to further investigate these findings.Calcification that grow in a cluster are suspicious, because they sometimes cluster around a mass which could be worrisome ,but quite often they can also form due to benign causes such as cysts, fibroadenomas,or other innocuous breast abnormalities..
The Ultrasound is a valuable tool to determine if the mass in your breast is a cysts,(fluid filled sac) or a solid lump.
No one can predict anything for now and you shouldn't worry too much, given that the vast majority of  breast lumps are not cancerous. However, more testing is needed to achieve a correct diagnosis and a biopsy could be recommended if the radiologist deems it necessary.
Wishing you all the best and BENIGN findings !
