Hi
Thank you I will keep my appointment.
My surgeon says right now they can not do anything as my hematoma is the size of 1/2 a lemon and they will not be able to see the microcalifications on guided mri,

The doctor did tell me they could pop it but it can lead to infection and she just rather let mother nature take care of this.
My daughter keeps me very busy which is a great help and having this site to write to and find out answeres is a blessing when you are in the dark.
I feel more at eas having read all the microcalification diagnoises from so many ladys here and to find there pathology reports did come back benign.  It makes me very happy everytime i see benign i can only imaginge how relieved they are after.

I know that my day will come and i will feel the same relief i just have to be patient.
For now i just try not to think about what is going on. I post out questons and hope for a responce which i have been very lucky to recieve i thank all who have responded it truley helps my day be a littlle easier. I look foward to comming on and reading even if it is just a blessing i recieve. Thank you !!!       Best regards C

Hematomas may take considerable time to be absorbed .... weeks or even months. Perhaps your Surgeon will find some way to work around this and do your biopsy ... do keep your appointment on the 24th. Keep up the warm compresses as often as you can and continue wearing the sports bra. Regards ....

hi i am sorry to hear that you are going through so much.  I will be praying for you that everything will turn out fine you will heal quickly and your pathology report is benign.

I was told to wear a sports bra everyday and to do as much moist heat on the area as i could through out the day. For me this is a very hard task i can only do this in the morning with really hot showers and at night when i finally get to sit down.
My hematoma has not gone down and is still the size of 1/2 a lemon  my next appoint ment with the doctor is on oct 24th not sure if i should go. do to the hematoma is still the same not sure what to do but i am tired of waiting.

Please keep me posted hope all turns out in your favor i will be praying for you.

Regards

have questions as well about hematomas. I had a lumpectomy 10/06/08 and came out with my b cup turned to a dd!!! my breast is black and blue and hard, and I can palpate a mass about the size of a pool ball in my breast.  I have had much more pain and swelling and bruising than I had planned on....
I went to Dr office on day 4  and they told me it was a hematoma, but no great suggestions on what to do about it.  They also have not given me my pathology results. I am returning to dr office on friday, but wondering why this is happening and certainly wasn't forewarned on how uncomfortable this was going to be? I welcome any thoughts, concerns....Lori
