Usually Herceptin is administered every 3 weeks for a period of one year,but.treatments vary according to the stage the cancer is discovered, as well as location and overall health of the patient.Your Oncologist would be able to answer your question since he/she would have all information and test results relevant to your specific situation.
The cost of this medication is very steep,but I hope your insurance will cover it or at least cover part of it.
I heard that anyone needing assistance to pay for Herceptin can apply through the drug company's assistance program.I also read that Genentech/Roche could assist with drug payment,but I am not sure if these programs are still available...
I have no idea about the actual cost of this drug,but I hope some other members have new information regarding this issue and let you know who to contact for assistance,in case you have no insurance..
