inverted nipples after 1st round of chemo

I had a lumpectomy about 5 weeks ago.  I had two positive lymph nodes and am stage 2A.  I had my first round of chemo two weeks ago.  Several days ago I noticed my nipple was inverted.  I have never had that before.  Is that anything I should be concerned about?

I also recently had both a lumpectomy (1.5 cm tumor) with 3 sentinal nodes removed - 1 node showing positive prompting an axillary node dissection 3 weeks later with 13 nodes removed.  I have just noticed the nipple on the breast related to these surgeries has become deflated (inverted?).  I plan on bringing this to my doctor's attention at my next follow-up, and assume that it is due to these surgeries and the tissue(s) removed that are affecting my (poor) body.  Alas, breast cancer has changed my life, both inside and out.  I can't wait for the excitement when my hair falls out once I begin chemo & radiation :)

Hi,

You should report this to your doctor and also schedule an appointment to get a clinical examination done.

This could be due to the surgery and only a clinical examination could tell the probable cause.

Let us know what your doctor advises.

Regards.
