Lymph nodes can become enlarged for many reasons including infections, diseases like "mono," and more serious issues.
After you have completed this course of antibiotics, I would suggest you ask your doctor to check your lymph nodes for enlargement at other sites (groin, underarms, etc.) if s/he did not do this at your recent visit.

i already finished my anti biotic but still the nodule is there, what would be the dr.'s nxt step in ur opinion?
my dr. recommend to continue antibiotic for another 5 more dys
The surgeon who recommended that you take an antibiotic for one week will probably decide, based on the response to the antibiotic, whether further imaging or possibly a biopsy is indicated.
As I mentioned above, the only way to be completely sure is through examination of the specimen under a microscope following biopsy, but various forms of imaging can provide helpful information to an experienced radiologist.

how would i know if its an infected area only?
is the size of the nodule found tru sinimamogram big?
I believe so, and I hope so, but your doctor or his/her staff would be the best source of information about this.
Best wishes,
bb
as i started taking antibiotic i noticed that the nodule started to soft is it a good sign ?
A BI-RADS 0 means incomplete or inconclusive; further evaluation is needed.
The recommended study was a sonomammogram. This showed a solid nodule with "ill-marginated margins" (margins that are not clearly defined) in the right breast.
It is not possible to tell conclusively if this finding is benign or malignant without a biopsy, but apparently your surgeon thinks there is a posibility that it is an infected area, since s/he recommended an antibiotic.
How it responds to the antibiotic will no doubt determine what the next step (if needed) in the evaluation process will be.

That is not large if it is just an infected area, but if it is a tumor, the true size would not be known until the pathology report from an excision came back.
