Prolia shot problem
Why is it so difficult to get permission to get the prolia shot approved through the health system? I have been denied permission to get the shot. What can I ask for as an alternative? I am already taking femara daily with many manifested side effects. I don't need to add anymore.
p.s. To answer another part of your question, there are many medications available to treat osteoporosis, and if your doctor's intervention does not lead to approval for Prolia, s/he would be the best person to recommend the alternative most appropriate for your specific case.

My suggestion would be to have the doctor prescribing, or recommending, this medication, to contact your insurance with a medical justification for an exception in your case.
Most insurances have a "special circumstances" dept. which considers such requests.
