weird pink spot

I recently noticed a light pink spot on my left breast, on the left side, by my cleavage. It's almost rectangular in shape, doesn't itch, or seem to change. It kind of looks like I scratched myself. It is slightly, but  barely, raised and I only see the raising from a certain angle. One day, the pink was gone and I could hardly see, and thought it was going away, but the pink coloring came back, though it does vary in how pink it is. If I take a warm shower, or rub it, it's pinker, then fades out again. I can't feel any lump or anything when manipulating it in my fingers, but it may feel a little thicker in the area. When I first found it, it had a purple spot in it and I thought it might be a spider bite. However, the purple spot is gone and its been a few weeks since I found it.  Thank you for your time, Bonnie

Thank you for your response. It was very helpful. I had kind of decided to just watch it, for changes, etc. If it doesn't go away, or gets worse, I will get it checked.  Thanks again!

Hi,
The breasts are subject to all kinds of skin problems, like anywhere else on the body, most of which are not dangerous, but it's hard to self-diagnose a skin condition without the benefit of a doctor's examination.
All I can say is that most breast skin problems aren't serious, and usually they go away with the correct treatment.
From what you describe,I don't think you have a breast problem, but keep an eye on it and if it doesn't get better or go away, get it checked by a dermatologist who can also perform a punch biopsy if something more than a skin problem is suspected.
All the best to you...
