Abby is Going Back to the Vet!

My cat is going back to the vet. His bleeding has gone insanely bad, and it has become ridiculous for a cat to be bleeding like this. He was fine until last night. I found blood again and all the mucuse from the colon was covered in blood and loose stool. This morning the story was the same, or worse, so I think it's time for him to be seen again by his vet.

I need prayers here. Treatment (antibiotics and prednisone) obviously didn't work.  He is only 1 year old. I will keep you all updated as soon as I get back from the vet.

I know we do not have much experience dealing with Inflammatory Bowel Disease in cats, but it will make me feel better to know that I have your support.

Thank you ladies. I am glad too that Abby is doing better. He now eats raw meat. I am happy because I never thought he'd ever like it. I am still cooking his food since there is always the risk of Toxoplasmosis from eating raw meat, but at least I know that he is getting easy to work with, and will even eat raw foods, which is always convenient in an emergency case :)

The vet still wants to run the FIP test in 5 weeks. I will do it just for him to be at ease, because he has been calling me, asking for my little feline. So, I know he cares. I can't say he is in for the money because he truly cares for my pet.  I don't have to pay for consultation, and I get discounts....big discounts of up to $60.00 for each medication I buy, plus he doesn't charge me for any antidiarrheal, which, thankfully, I haven't had to use, so I'm glad I got it for free! So, I know the vet does care.

Thank you all for your support. I needed it, and you offered your heart and hand to us. My love and gratitude for you are limitless!

Yea! I'm so glad Abby's better! :) I've been praying for the little guy!
Now Sakura is anxious to come see him. She's been prancing around in her bikini all week. She's terribly jealous that Abby gets special food and gets to go outside to chase lizards! She keeps staring at me with a baleful look, lol.

PK - your thread is long because people care about Abby and you.  Animal people tend to stick together.  Also, there was that diversion into "bootyland"  lol  IP and A are still hoping Abby is alright and have commented that I should be as devoted a "mom" as you are.  They are talking about moving in with you and Abby.

Sarash - how is S?  He didn't eat anything explosive did he?  Hope he is alright.
