Anyone have luck with catnip sprays?

I got some for Christmas hoping that I could spray it on things without making a mess that gets into the carpet. Anyways it seemed I was better off spraying water on the cats toys and scratching post. Maybe it would get them more high than the catnip spray...

So I guess we're back to the natural stuff, dried leaves and fresh stuff when spring and summer finally hit MN... That is unless anyone knows of a catnip spray to work as effective as the real stuff.

We grow our own catnip usually. Hopefully what grew last year will overwinter and be harvestable.

I don't use catnip spray. I buy cosmic catnip. I swear to God every time my cat gets his catnip I have to leave of how funny the show gets.

Well, I've already told ya how I feel about the spray junk!  The one time we used it a long time ago, it did nothing for the cats.  They smelled it and gave an "OH, Whatever" look.  I'd never use this stuff again.  I also don't trust the ingredients in it-God only knows if they're safe or not.  If something's ingredients are questionable in any way-I don't go there!

It starts off with them having a jolly old time, then one thinks the other is giving them a dirty look or ready to steal their toy... Then it turns into a bar room brawl, lol. Lots of rolling around, rubbing, vampire kisses, swatting, and see who can eat the other's head, lol. (on the regular stuff.) The spray stuff is a dud...

Never used a spray, but good luck!  

Personally I don't trust my cats enough to get them high!  They have few enough inhibitions as it is!
