Cat Pregnancy

Hi guys, I have another question and I would appreciate an answer asap. My grandparents cat Blacky has had one a kitten. Can cats have one kitten then a few days or weeks later give birth to another? If not could this be a pregnancy problem? Also he tummy is so big she must be having more than one kitten.

how long ago did she have the one?
its possible but doesn't happen often unless she is very malnourished or otherwise not well....
if her tummy is still really large she must have more to birth yet...but this would happen soon, not days later.
If she is having problems giving birth please beg them to take her to a Vet for attention asap

Blacky had her kitten 3 or 4 days ago. my grand parents said this had happened last year and she was fine, they are keeping an eye on her. Hopefully she will be alright.

Hi Zoey....I know this is not your question, but my childhood calico kitty *Rainbow* had ONE kitten her first pregnancy: a beautiful calico girl that looked just like her.  Rainbow's second pregnancy turned out to be a litter of 6, and she was spayed after that.  I had a neighbor down my street when I was little who's cat ALSO had one kitten her first pregnancy, then 6 the next before being spayed.

I agree with Opus, this mama cat needs to be seen by a vet asap, most especially if she has more kittens to birth, but they just aren't coming.

Best of luck with this little one, Zoey.  Keep us updated...
