hi Nathan I will send you a site with info on Bartonella or Cat Scratch Disease....for most a scratch from an infected cat doesn't cause any problems, however for those with a lower immunity it certainly can. read the info..if you did get infected, it appears that treatment with antibiotics needs to be done for a 2-3month period. good luck

Nathan, I was actually diagnosed with cat scratch fever at age 4. Swollen lymph nodes, fever, sore throat, although I don't really remember a lot, just that I felt bad and had to stay in the hospital for about a week. I know I got a lot of shots ( I assume antibiotics) while I was in the hospital. I've often wondered if you can get it again if you've already had it. Did you get any blood tests? Maybe it hasn't cleared your system. Hope you feel better!
It's weird. Like I don't really have any serious symptoms except for sore and swollen lymph nodes for months.
If you didn't get blood work done, you need to go back to your Dr. and get to the bottom of this once and for all.
Yeah, I'm just scared of getting bad news.
I was also thinking it could be toxoplasmosis. As my job consisted of a lot of handling of dead animals and cleaning cat litter boxes and feces, there would be a lot of opportunities for infection. I've also found that symptoms can last for months in the online info on it.
