Cat Toy Watch!

So Savas has finally loosened the cords on his tightly clsoed wallet, cleared the dust out, and agreed to replace some of the old, missing cat toys that have long since disappeared around here (It does help that Savas has a 50% employee discount. ;->)

His first experiments are with the foam balls and the "real fur mice".

The real fur mouse was a HUGE success. It's disturbingly realistic, which might put an ownder off. But when tossed out, Five cats moved in for the kill and then had a huge squabble-fest amongst each other over who would get dibs. It was batted, chewed, and tossed about the room with utter glee!!!

This morning, of course, the toy mouse is now missing.True to the nature of most small cat toys, it has been "disappeared" under a piece of furniture, likely never to be seen again. Perhaps I can get a bulk discount, as .99 Cents strikes me as a bit much for one day's play.

But on a scale of 1-5, I'm giving it a tenative "4"... until I can find proof it still exists.


The second toy is the foam balls. These were also a big hit.

HOWEVER.. they tore them into tiny little chunks in a matter of hours. Savas has some concerns as to the impact tiny pieces of liquid-absorbing foam may have on a cat's digestion...so I'm giving this toy a rating of;
"2" with a warning that it could be a potential health hazard.

I found one in the shape of a mouse at Walmart for 2.97 and even came with extra batteries.......He loves it!!!

I need to get me one of those lasers. I bet my cat would have a blast with that!

S loves ponytail holders!!!!  I finally broke down and got a laser and he loves that thing.....I will give that a rating of 5!!!!  He also has the SS Minnow that hangs on the door and the colorful fish hang down......He loves this toy too and i will also rate this one a 5.  He likes his candy cane striped mice that came in his Christmas stocking but i am always looking for them as they seem to disappear.........

I got my cat a fur mouse that squeaks when you shake it and it drives her nuts! She loves it! It also has cat nip in it. I give it a 5 out out of 5, except we can't find it right now. Cats do seem famous for pushing them under something never to be seen again. I'm beginning to wonder if it's under the refrigerator since we've checked under tables and chairs so far.

But my crazy cat will play with anything you leave out that looks like fun to her. That includes pens and pencils (bats them off the computer desk making it hard to find a pen when we need one!), straws, the little plastic ring that comes off of the milk cartons, bottle caps, string, etc. I could go on and on! She's so funny. She has no problem finding something to entertain herself with. :D

My cats LOVED ping pong balls and aluminum foil balls!  I rate them both a 5!!!  And, Savas, I do agree that kitties love the foam balls, but like you, I also worry about them chewing the H out of them and swallowing those "pieces".

correction: the toy mouse just turned up; it was under a laundry bag. Since it is still intact, I give it a solid "4".
