Cats eyes dilated, vomiting and acting strange

my 8 year old cat, who loves to eat and loves his treats is acting strange.  His eyes are dilated, he acts as if he is "seeing things".  He threw up his food today and has been "dry heaving" this evening.  I opened his mouth, and do not see anything, felt his abdomen and he doesn't act tender.  When giving him a small kitty treat (he usually inhales it), he broke a piece in half and barely ate the other half.  When offered food, he just stares (not normal for him).  No history of any health issues

Did something happen to him?  He needs to see the vet, dilated eyes can be from a toxic substance or injury and with the vomiting it makes me think head injury, please take him to the vet.

Hello and welcome.  You really need to get kitty to the vet ASAP!  This could be any number of things, but I'm especially concerned with the dilated pupils.  Could be he ate something poisonous...Could be he has a head injury - it's impossible to say.  Did this just start today?  Doesn't matter - please call your vet in the morning!
