M cat keeps being sick

H my cat keeps being sick? She seems ok in herself. There is fur in the mix.  I have been told to try liquid parrafin to make her be sick and bring it all up at once. This sounds so wrong to me. I want to help her. not hurt her. Please can you help?

You can go to a pet store or Vet and they will offer you a tube of paste that will help pass the furballs.

My cat had this problem, but I give him this once a week now.  It was once a day for about 4 days -- you need about 1" of the paste to start and then once a week.  You should see a difference.

Also make sure that you brush you cat, especially if you only have one.  If you had more than one then each cat would clean the other.  But if one, your cat is consuming all the fur.

If this persists for a long time, I would recommend you bring it to the Vet.

Hi yes it does work good, only thing I can add is make sure it is 'WHITE PETROLEUM JELLY'....the yellow stuff has a higher petroleum base and can be harmful especially when using regularly......this is easily found in baby section of any retail outlet..

The petroleum jelly works well and my kitty loves it, he thinks its a treat.

Hi, this really does sound like hairballs are your kitty's problem!  What we usually do to help stop the hairball problem is to brush kitty every day and give the kitty a hairball remedy.  You can get hairball remedies in a pet store or you can use petroleum jelly.  Get a glob of it on your finger and either stick it on her paw or put it directly in her mouth.  

It is best to prevent hairballs and not to let them build up in her colon because it's possible that it can cause a bowel obstruction.  I give the petroleum jelly every single day to my kitty and she's doing great.....so I know that it works.
