My cat goes CRAZY for Fish Food Flakes?!

Hi everyone,

My cat (which is also the "daughter" of my other cat) goes CRAZY for fish food flakes (namely: Aquarian Goldfish Flakes).  Just now, I was feeding my goldfish, and I could see my cat smelt it.  She was "sleeping", but woke up and started sniffing the air... She then came over to me, and aggressively pushed her head into the tub.  (I do mean that - she was actually very aggressive about it) Seeing as there wasn't much left, I let her eat it. Is that ok?

She's 16 years old if that's of any help

You rock opus. Thanks for being so smart.  I have dried sardines. Kitty only likes them sometimes, but at least it's only one ingredient.  Pamela

hi...took me awhile to find anywhere that would list the ingredients...
the kelp and fish protein are good as is the Vit C because thats water soluble. however the E and A are fat soluble and you'd need to be very careful with giving much of those...especially the A,this is very high and  excess can be toxic. I have NO idea what amounts are safe for a cat?
also the Oils and Fats listed ..don't really say what type...
remember these are meant for fish...lol. in very tiny amounts i don't see anything that would be really harmful, but I sure would make sure it was a very tiny amount...try buying some Omega3 Krill Oil, if she likes fishy stuff she may really like that and its something very healthy for her:))
