If there's any doubt as to whether or not this is a cancerous tumor, then I would ask about removing it. If, God forbid this turns out to be a cancerous growth, you don't want to take a sample because cutting into cancer can make it grow faster and spread. That's from what I've read in the past. Ask your vet what they think about just removing it totally.
Best wishes to you and your kitty.
Hi Apple,
When you say the" cells are multiplying" is that the result your vet has given you from the biopsy?? If it is then you must ask your vet what this result means for your cat.
If you have just taken a biopsy then you need to wait until the results Do come in. Benign or Cancerous is usually what the biopsy will show from the tissue taken by needle aspiration.
Sure hope this will be good news for you. Please talk to you vet and let us know what is the outcome. We are here for support for you whatever the diagnosis.
Good Luck,
CML
