We are here for you, margy. Glad your girl is eating well.
She may miss her buddies: Diego has a few here, but basically is more fond of people than other cats.
She will gradually investigate other creatures...still think good idea to hold off a bit before considering another kitty.
Thank you guys she is still not right but so much better ,thing is this house is somewhat isolated more than the last one and being an outside/inside cat she had made a couple of friends well here no such luck ..just jackrabbits, gophers and some wonderful strange birds. On a happy note she is eating well and gaining weight.I am waiting and thinking weather to get another , she wasnt always kind to other kitties .Thanks again I love this forum
Margie, agree with Maddie and Opus.....it will just take time. We all know how much our kits hate change.
Keeping her in as much as possible for a few days if at all possible (know she is an inside/outside kit) is a good idea. Then, I think she will love being in new place with lots of territory to mark.
As to another cat.....it could backfire, so easy does it ...Tweety will adjust: another cat could just make her more upset.
oh poor Tweety....a move can be so very traumatizing as Maddie has said, she will slowly get used to the new place but will take a few weeks....be good idea to keep her indoors for awhile, wouldn't want her to get spooked and run than not be familiar enough with the new place to find her way home....♥
Thank you Maddie , I am still thinking about it I am uncertain ..maybe as you have said I will wait and see, there are bunnies and strange birds round here, she runs from the bunnies. She has become more of an indoor cat now.I am glad she is eating again as she stopped for 2 days .I heard moving cats can be traumatic I didnt realise how much ..
Sounds like you have moved to a great place. Poor Tweety. She will come round gradually. When I took my rescue cat home, after he had been abandoned, it was a big upheaval for him. He had been to differenht places, but he settled well.
Let Tweety take her time. I am not sure that another cat is the answer. Won't that upset her more?
