Positive thoughts needed....cat not doing so well....

My 13 year old male cat has had kidney disease for some years, and with meds, special diet, and sub-Q fluids,,he has maintained....but recently started losing weight even more so.  Since he never really liked his special food, the vet said to now mix it with some "regular food" ...so I have been doing that...then we were going to check his levels again, but now he is not really hungry at all, "crying" around the house somtimes, and smelling "old".  I have an appt. at the internal medicine vet specialist on the 2nd (he has been there before), so I hope he hangs in there.  I have had to force feed him today a couple of times, but he did eat some baby food (chicken) on his own.   He acts hungry most of the time, but puts his nose up at most foods.  Just thought I'd post this to ask for some positive thoughts and I will keep you all posted.  Thanks!

No worries, I'm glad your kitty is sitting pretty. :)

We'll keep the good thoughts coming. I've got my "special aluminum thought ray" hat on, just in case it's necessary!

He has pulled throgh a bit, but not completely out of the woods.  The vet said to just give him more and more fluids...and he IS getting better...but appetite not 100% yet.

Keep those good thoughts coming!!!!!!!!!!!
