Cat with UTI or Constipation?

I have a male cat that weighs about 12-13 pounds is about 3 yrs old and lately he's been sitting in his litterbox for multiple times throughout the day. When he leaves his litterbox everytime, there isnt any signs of feces or urination. He is still eating and drinking water. I noticed that he had a little bit of blood in his anus. The thing is, afterwards he went to the litterbox and was there for the longest time ever but this time he actually urinated-a quarter size. I am confused as whether if he is constipated or has a UTI. I have not been around to witness him actually pooping these last few days. I started him on cranberry pills 3 days ago and he sat on the litterbox and actually did urinate more than last time with the quarter size. Again, I have not seen him poop. Could he have UTI, constipation, or both? thank you

Hi MNAguila,

I strongly agree with Opus88 and Blu's suggestions. Your kitty needs
to see your vet immediatly and your vet needs to examine him. Your
cat's symptoms sound very serious. I agree with Opus88 that there
may be a blockage in his bowel which is interferring with his bladder.
As Opus88 pointed out, this is extremely serious and requires immediate
attention from a vet. This is your cat's only chance. This can be fatal
is not attended to immediately by a vet. I can not stress this enough.
Please take your cat to see the vet immediately to be seen and helped
by the vet is his only chance to survive. You love your cat. Do the right
thing. Best of luck to both you and your kitty. Evewisewoman

Time to see the vet.  Your kitty could have a blockage somewhere, which is fatal if untreated. - Blu
