Loreenas Uptodate from new "Mr Magooo" (no problems in short distance sight, mercifully

Some things are better, some are worse.Vet Paulo wants me to start all over again , exactly the same way. I'm Not believing it will work but I did - I still have half box of corticoids and a friend has the antibiotic and will bring me today
Started at 6 pm yesterday all over again .She had a bad poo at 11pm- I do hope it was just coicidence and not the stuff causing digestive troubles this time
Vet Marcelo seems disagree with this second try and reinforced the need of Antibiogram :( to get the right way.
Follow a comparative chart of both exams - normal items were omited

Urine test results not ready yet...I'll be back there later on...
Had a good sleep night relieved by the fact "something was being done" - and just broke my glass right lens today by stepping on it!
Right side is the one my glass is usefull - left one was quite bad after my surgeries. No way I will have money for glasses at this moment :)

I took there to clinic soon after. And asked vet there to put on the fridge since the other ver would arrive just later on.It was 8am , so, must be at the lab at this moment .
There was blood hidden at the first test - I wont be surprised if had some again...
Tell you more tomorrow

Ok...good, should be sterile...make sure lab at clinic gets its tested asap after collection. That could be looking like blood because maybe her urine is very concentrate...so don't panic may not be blood....hope not
She just finished an antibiotic...unless it was one the possible bacteria wasn't suseptible to????
Sending some prayers, hope this vet can find out what's going on for sure

I do believe there was blood this time - by the color

Apple....how are you getting a clean catch sample???? If this sample isn't sterile of course there will be bacteria present...just like with us humans, a Vet cannot tell if there is a UTI unless that pee sample was caught in a sterile container....
And she has a normal PH of 6.5 so no evidence of crystals, isn't she still going outdoors? How do you not know if she is peeing outside?
Is there blood present? cant understand why the Vet thinks there's an infection?????

tks for your input.Lolo never had urinary issues before...
She never demonstrate pain - but Im afraid she can be having it,she's a sweet girl that never claim about things

Today news - best new I have it was I could get the sample to send the vet - I was afraid I would take to her to the clinic again for .
Getting samples for Loreena is normally easy, cos she's calm, but this time she is peeing few...
Bad news is the visual aspect of the sample was not really good - and vet wanted a more complete test  including antibiogram ( = check the kind of bacterias or so is she suffering for, for a correct antibiotic prescription). It was the correct way - and it was 80 bucks to be paid at the moment - so ,it was NOT done :(
We did the ordinary test again ( $30 reais)
Lets wait for the news tomorrow and hope new medication to be prescribed works fine...

My cat keeps getting the infections over and over. We get him a homeopathic medication (drops) that are not very expensive and can bring him out of a bout when I catch him early. I am always on the lookout for changes in how he behaves. Today he was obvious with a jump in the sink straining in front of me... :(
It is rough to see them in pain!

Apple, what you can do is add a tiny bit of water to the bottom of Lolo's meals.  Every time.  She will lap it right up like it's gravy.  Just a little though, you don't want to water down her food so she turns her nose up.

I'm keeping our Loreena in my thoughts.  Hugs to you, Apple.  The worry; back and forth from the vet; it's exhausting.

Vet believe is just cistite ( urinary infection)
No one mentioned surgery by now - and they say is very hard a female cat get really blocked ( my first and worse fear)
The one I talked today ( Dr.Marcelo - the anesthesist and owner of the clinic- one of those I trust on, besides Dr Fabiano)just told me to keep watching and do what I mentioned...

I just am not sure what all is going on??? if she is still having troubles passing her urine, she must have crystals blocking her tubes? I hope this won't mean surgery for our poor Lolo....

apple you must have her on canned food....NO dry food!! this is very important with crystals

sending my love and prayers...yes keep up with the Vit C too♥

As you can see,  I didnt like that much that vet .t was the one that had said "remedies are to make one better" :-)
But news today are not very good, unfortunatelly.
Monday she  went to Dr Fabiano ( I will post picts asap) and all was looking great, except for a bladder empty but a little "differente (That was not the word he used but im in a hurry now) He just said we had wait some more time and redo the exam = and I gladly agree cos she was absolutely normal

But It seems like Lo is back to the original problem - started yesterday night :-(
And friday is another holiday so is all back to the original point - I'm feeling very tired.
Had a little chat with one of the vets ( this one I like) and he told me to go back to c vitamin and just wait  til Monday to do a new Urine test ( a more complex one, probably.)
Blood work seems to be discarded by now -just hope she keeps peeing enough for me to get a sample home

I think the increase in aggression was due to the pills, too.  It sounds like Loreena is feeling much better, Apple.  Hopefully the vet will not need any new blood work.  Oh, and ha, you made me laugh with the 'miming' comment.  Normally, Vets became Vets because they love and want to help animals, so I'm sure Lolo's heart really was checked with no 'miming' involved.  :)

Pain was a small possibility - but I credited the behavior to the pills cos she never showed any sign of pain or disconfort with my touchings ( or vet ones)
I dont know what I 'll do if vet ask blood test next week - not only Im broken but also pitying disturb Lolo now that she is acting 99% normaly now ( includes peeing outside and massaging me :-) )
On the other hand, for a blood test later on- if vet say its safe- I would probably need  to pay another visit and take here at the clinic AGAIN

Happy to hear the steroid is done and she is peeing ok. It probably was the medication causing her some aggression, keep an eye on that...because pain can also be a cause.
Sending Lolo my prayers
