Yes. if it's just an issue of blindness, it can deal quite well. I recall the last blind kitten we adopted out to a special needs home. Sweet Pea (her name) had to have both eyes removed, but was still a sweet, loving cat who got around quite well. There are certain things a person with a blind cat needs to know, but it isn't anything common sense doesn't tell you (don't move furniture around! Keep the living environment stable and as unchanged as possible!
Ask the news to mention the vet costs, and I'm sure donations will pour in. I'm frankly a little surprised the vet isn't offering almost free service. It's what usually happens with media events.
As to the villains... I hope should I go to hell for my wicked ways, that I at least get the job of chief torturer of those who abuse animals.
I've already got a long list of ideas and methods in mind for implementation...
Blindness is not something that really limits cats or dogs. Especially since this kitten is so young, he will adjust to blindness easily and learn his way around your house. As long as his pain is controlled, and his injuries are something that the vet feels he can recover from, I would give him every chance and do as Marissposa suggested and get the media involved to get some donations in to pay for his medical bills. I hope they get the animal that did this and punish him to the fullest extent of the law! There is just no room in this world for someone who is capable of an act such as this. No room at all. God bless you for going all out for this little baby. I hope beyond all hope that he recovers and that you and he have many, many happy years together.

That is disgraceful! I would love to throw THEM from a car!
You are a wonderful person to take care of this kitty. If you get a paypal account please let us know. I am sure many on here would love to donate to help.
A blind cat will live a fine life! Animals are so much better at adapting than people. Please let us how kitty is doing.
You are an angel from God.
I agree with marissposa, good advice.
When I hear these types of stories it just sickens me to the core that these people who call themselves human beings are allowed to be part of society, I hope they catch the ba$tards, the fines are never high enough for animal cruelty, they should be thrown in jail as well.
Ask the tv news to add a link to their website asking for donations for the medical care and then set up an online paypal account. As for any other advice... I think a blind kitty could have a pretty good life with the right caretaker... but as for the other injuries... listen to the vet about the prognosis....(I have no medical experience). What a heartbreaking story. Thank you for being willing to help this little kitten that needed you so much.
