cat attack

I was attacked by a cat 10 weeks ago.  I had surgery to reattach the tendon in my finger.  I had infection for almost 6 weeks and had to have some tendon removed because the infection was making it fray.  I had to have it drained a second time.  Now the infection seems to be gone but I am having a terrible issue with swelling and getting the use of my hand back.  It has a glistening look to it and the skin is very tight from the swelling.  I am in physio but finding it difficult.  Is there possibly something being overlooked?  I was also told that I have nerve damage in my hand and wrist.
