Thx! i think my kitten can get overexcited very easily. He enjoys batting around his toy and chasing after it. sometimes, he will even bang right into the wall or do some somersaults while playing. He has always been this hyper since he was 6 weeks old but I will try to play more gentle games with him.
I agree with April. I have a Maine Coon, Abby, who gets stimulated to quickly. She can get pretty mean at times. She'll bite and do the low growl. So, I am extra careful in the way I play with her. She loves to be played with with toys and stuff like that, but not handled in play. She can be so adorable and loveable, but if she gets worked up (which is easy to do) she will start to hyperventilate. She's 3 now and not as bad as she was as a kitten. He should outgrow some of it, but like Abby just needs to be handled with kid gloves. Good luck!
I'm wondering if he got too stimulated and didn't know how to calm himself down maybe?
Every cat is different. Maybe this cat needs more gentle play and gentle touches. Maybe he can't handle the rough play. Just a thought.
